Canon has announced its two new PowerShot A495 and PowerShot A490 compact digital cameras. Both compact digital cameras are aimed to replace its predecessor model A480 with an affordable prices and user-friendly features. The new cameras has been combined a subtle, soft-edged design with a genuine Canon lens and a range of intelligent automatic features.



Both cameras are featured with a 10-megapixel sensor with 3.3x optical zoom, Smart Auto mode and a 2.5-inch LCD screen. The PowerShot A495 includes new modes such as Low-Light, Super Vivid and Poster Effect mode, Smart FE and the ability to upload video to YouTube, while the PowerShot A490 digital camera comes with scene modes such as Low-Light Mode, Smart FE and the ability to upload video to YouTube. In addition, both cameras are compatible with SDHC and SDXC memory cards with SDXC offering storage capacity of up to 2TB.

The PowerShot A495 is available in red, blue and silver, while the PowerShot A490 is available in silver. The PowerShot A495 and A490 digital cameras are expected to be available for $129.99 and $109.99 respectively. Both cameras are scheduled to be available in consumer markets by late of February 2010.
