Microsoft has unveiled its free web-based email, Windows Live Hotmail. Windows Live Hotmail is in Beta version and it is available worldwide in 36 languages. This new email features quite similar to Microsoft’s desktop-based Outlook program, including the ability to drag and drop into folders. Users can also import contacts from Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express to this new Hotmail.

This past Wednesday, Google unveiled a new “universal search” function that integrates text, photos, video, news, scanned books and blogs in a single list of results.
