Wheelchair-bound users can enjoy the recent innovation by Dynamic Controls to control the wheelchair via Apple’s iPhone. The wheelchair is connected to users’ iPhone via Bluetooth; users get information about the wheelchair in real time including speed and directions. The wheelchair is fitted with a cradle to mount the iPhone or iPod on the wheelchair as well as a charger for the iPhone. The app can also detect many problems with the wheelchair and report accordingly. Expected to be launched in April 2010, the new technology operates with an iPhone 3G, 3GS, iPod touch V2.0 and 3.0.
