myspace-com.jpgMySpace, the world’s largest online social network which offers an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music and videos internationally is going to launch a suite of tools for software developers to develop games or other applications which can integrate with the website. The launching of the developer platform by MySpace is to widen the gap against other online social network rivals especially Facebook. The emergence of Facebook in its popularity has somehow challenged MySpace being the world leader in online social network.

The move to open developer platform by MySpace is inevitable. Its main rival, Facebook, having offered a similar development platform to its users in May last year, has moved aggressively to close the gap between it and MySpace. By opening up a developer platform, can MySpace replicate the success of rival Facebook’s developer programme? It is still an unanswered question. Anyway, developers who wish to try out MySpace’s platform can register themselves for more information commencing on 6 February at developer.myspace.com.
