New Nokia Custom Dictionary For Nokia S60 Smartphones

In effort to gather feedback from community, Nokia Custom Dictionary team has published its Nokia Custom Dictionary on Beta Labs. The Nokia Custom Dictionary is an experimental application which has been designed for S60 users to manage, edit the list of words that used by the phone for text prediction and transfer the definitions between phones. Using the Nokia Custom Dictionary, the users also can import words from a text file and create specific word lists to be shared among a like like-minded community.

The Nokia Custom Dictionary includes the following features:

• Able to view all the words in the custom dictionary.
• Add new words.
• Edit and delete existing words.
• Export the dictionary as xml file.
• Import words from an xml file.
• Scan text files to import all the words.
• Transfer Custom Dictionary to another phone.

The Nokia Custom Dictionary for S60 3rd and 5th edition phones is now available to download at Nokia betalabs.

List of Nokia phones which are fully functional with Nokia Custom Dictionary:

• Nokia E71, Nokia E63, Nokia 5800 XPressMusic and Nokia X6.

List of Nokia phones which have limited functionality with Nokia Custom Dictionary:

• Nokia N96, Nokia N95, Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N82, Nokia N79 and Nokia N78.

List of Nokia phones which might have some issues with Nokia Custom Dictionary:

• N97, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia E72, Nokia E75, Nokia E55 and Nokia E52.
