To celebrate its ten-year anniversary, Google has recently launched Google 2001 Search to facilitate a walk down memory lane or web history. Users can access the 2001 index and gain a different perspective in their searches.

If you are not hopeless in Math, you would probably wonder why Google chose to highlight 2001 search results instead of 1998 to celebrate its tenth birthday. Well, Google explained that due to various technical issues, the earlier versions of its index are not accessible. Hence, the 2001 index is the best the search engine can provide.
