As part of the commitment to protect the environment, Samsung has launched its environmentally-friendly phone Samsung Blue Earth which has unveiled at Mobile World Congress in early 2009. The environmentally-friendly phone has been featured with full touch screen and multimedia playback capabilities. The phone is made from Post Consumer Material (PCM) which is extracted from used water bottles, in an effort to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions during manufacturing process. The phone and its charger are free from phthalate, brominates flame retardants (BFR), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

Moreover, the phone is features with a touch interface with an eco-friendly theme, robust power management tools, has built-in pedometer and a CO2 emission reduction calculator as well as comes with a
5-star energy efficient charges that consumes about 0.03W in stand by mode.

The Samsung Blue Earth is expected to launch in Sweden by this month and will available soon in other countries like France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal and etc.
