Sony has expanded its renowned Alpha (α) digital SLR portfolio with new high-end 16.2-megapixel DSLR-A580 and 14.2-megapixel DSLR-A560 D-SLR cameras. Both of them features a high-resolution Exmor APS HD CMOS Sensor, 3.0-inch tiltable Xtra Fine LCD display with Quick AF Live View, 15-point phase-detection autofocus (AF) system, Auto HDR, 3D Sweep Panorama and Multi Frame Noise Reduction, capable of recording AVCHD 1080i full HD video at 29.97 frames per second.



Sony A580 and A560 digital SLR cameras support both Memory Stick PRO Duo and SD/SDHC/SDXC media storage, offering up to 7 frames per second high-speed continuous shooting capability.

Sony DSLR-A580 will be available in coming October for about $650 (body only), while Sony DSLR-A560 is scheduled to hit the market by Q1 2011 but the price is yet to be known.
