benq-dsc-x800-red.jpgBig is beautiful but thin is in. The world’s thinnest digital camera, the new DSC X800 was unveiled by BenQ. Measuring 100 x 63.7 x 14 mm, the 8-megapixel camera is bigger than the Pentax Optio S but slimmer than any camera in the market. It’s so slim and chic in black or red steel that users will love packing it along for holidays. The color choice is suitable for the serious businessman or stylish woman. One could imagine posing pretty or sexy for such a fashionable camera.

The DSC X800 features a 3x optical zoom lens (38-114mm, f/3.5-4.5), high sensitivity of up to ISO 400, and a 3-inch LTPS LCD and a portable media player that allows music playing and video-viewing at the same time. It also has SSF or Super Shake Free option which helps in image stabilization, and autofocus for tracking up to nine faces in a photo. The downside is that the camera only has 12MB of internal memory and the optics is nothing to shout about. It’s a cool digital camera to have for personal use and entertainment.
