Windows Vista Free Direct Download Link

The difference between Windows Vista with previous operating system from Microsoft is that consumers can buy and download Windows Vista online from Windows Marketplace and have access to the software instantly. This may be due to increase confidence on anti-piracy measures built into Vista. But apparently, everyone who purchase the Vista license and product key via Internet will get the exactly same download links for 32-bit Windows Vista installation files, no matter it’s full or upgrade version and regardless of which title edition of Windows Vista bought.

Now the direct download links to the Windows Vista files purchased online have been leaked. As mentioned, the downloads are for 32-bit edition of Windows Vista (in order to get 64-bit Windows Vista installer, you need to order DVD from Microsoft after transaction). The Vista files is just like a complete DVD on retail market, can be used to install all editions – Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate (see comparison matrix), and either upgrade or complete full edition (see price differences). The only thing that matters is Vista product key given online, which will determine and unlock only the correct features assigned to the purchased edition.

The 3 Windows Vista installer package parts to download are listed:

boot.wim (116 MB)
install.wim (2.24 GB)
X13-49120.exe (73.7 MB)

The files are hosting on the server on domain msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent.net owned by Digital River, one of the delivery partners for Vista and also the brain behind Windows Marketplace e-commerce store.

After downloading the files, simply double click on the executable (.exe) to start to install Vista. Note that 3 files must be put together in the same directory. You still need a product key where you can buy immediately from Windows Marketplace, or if you prefer Vista in a box, buy from Amazon.

The download sites are fine, the browser and search engine you use is the problem. Google Chrome will download every file here, but you CANNOT use google search or Bing, the security for those will deny you. I switched to Yahoo search and they all downloaded instantly. gl

If you are about to install Windows Vista, you should think about the product key. If you don’t enter the product key, you will end up with a OS that shuts down every hour.

  if you are being denied, change your browser and search engine and try again, its the security on the ones your using that blocks you, not the site. I just downloaded the whole page of files using google chrome and yahoo search without incident

Just download the Windows Automated Installation Kit (Windows AIK). You need to validate that you're running genuine Microsoft OS to download. Either one is a disk image that you need to burn to a dvd, and then install as normal. I haven't tried them yet, since I'm downloading them both right now. Both are supposed to allow you to install THE Windows Vista family of OS (I assume this means any version of vista, but I may be wrong.)

Jeez, guys, the links will say forbidden because microsoft have finally caught on that people are using them to download them without consent ( probably piracy ). And without trying to sound nasty, if you had all read the above post with a little bit more care, you would have found that it isnt one specific version, but includes ALL VERSIONS of windows vista. If you have all three files and are unsure of what to do, the place all 3 files into a folder, and click ''X13-49120.exe'' and accepting it. the exe will the unpack all the files needed to either ''upgrade'' or to create a ''bootable'' ISO ( disc image, google it) which you can then burn to dvd to do a clean install. Sorry for my little rant, but peoples refusal to read posts properly on any site annoys me, considering the work that the author/s have put it to bring such fantastic content.

To get the files just do these following steps

1. go on google

2. search Vista in 80 MB

3. go to the first link

4. download vista

5. while that install WinRAR

6. go on the folder vista

7. and the files will be there

8. and added u can install UltraISO (FREE!!)

ok here is the deal!! I have all the Boot.wim, Install.wim, and the exe file for both x32 and x64 with and without sp1. I can upload it if you want it.

But i need Windows Vista x64 Enterprise (without service retail MSDN dvd) not SP1 which is around in the net.

and

I need Nero 9 Retail DVD Shop Bought.

I tried downloading all files through Internet Explorer, but i says Denied or the website has declined to show the page. I also tried saving tm by Save Target As… but a message comes unable to download try again later. I even used various download managers such as DAP,Orbit, Flashget, Leechget, FDM, etc. but still no progress. Can anyone help in solving this problem and download those files.

Can someone who had already downloaded the file install.wim please upload it into parts via rapidshare? All he had to do is make an image of file install.wim using alcohol20% and split the image using hjsplit into parts and then upload it via rapidshare.

I tried it on DAP but the speeds are the same and the downloads sometimes crashes. I also want to download install.wim but I'll do it from torrents because it is resumable unlike the direct download links. 🙂

The SP1 install.wim file is about 350MB bigger than the RTm version, that's the easy way to tell if the links have SP1 or not! 2.24GB is for the RTM release 🙁

i downloaded the 3 links to my computer about a month ago. vista worked great! but about a week ago i rebooted my computer and lost vista. now i come here to download it again but it says acess denied!!!!!!! what happened to the downloads? is there any possible way i can download it again? does any1 no where i can get these links sumwhere else?

Looks like those links are dead now. Getting the message "Denied" when I click on them. Hopefully there is a new link for the integrated SP1!

Will these links change when SP1 is available? Presumably MS will change the install.wim file to the new version once SP1 is properly available, which will be good for those with the original build wanting to clean install with SP1 integrated.

I tried all those things and still the download link for Install.wim is not working for me. I can download boot.wim and X13-49120.exe files. Can you download Install.wim know? If yes then please post its MD5 here. You can use Hashtab to easily calculate the MD5.
