Mini and compact portable projectors are always a favorite amongst businessmen as they can easily carry this along for business presentations without causing serious back strain or cumbersome inelegance. However, most of the compact projectors available in the market are compromised in terms of features and performance. Fortunately, the Taiwanese company, BenQ, has pushed forward a new mini GP1 pico LED projector which has impressive specifications and features in a palm sized gadget.

Measuring 5.3″ X 2.1″ X 4.7″ in dimensions, the 1.4-pound LED projector lives up to the adage that small is beautiful. It is definitely a lightweight in the world of projectors. Nevertheless this midget packs a powerful package in its 858 x 600 pixel resolution and 100 ANSI lumens brightness. It also automatically launches a media playback menu and does away with the need for a laptop when a USB is plugged into the device to project video (MPEG4, MJPEG, XviD) or images. (JPEG, BMP, GIF). However, there is no zoom function and the subtle (38dB) humming sound in the background can cause some mild irritation. At $499, the GP1 pico LED projector is a great travel companion and a worthwhile investment, especially for business travelers.
