The Japanese consumer electronics giant, Sony has announced the launch of its new lightweight portable photo printers – Sony DPP-FP97 (3.5-inch LCD display) and DPP-FP67 (2.4-inch LCD screen), which the company claims can easily be transported in a carry-on bag to birthday parties or family trips, supporting wide variety of flash memory cards including Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD, SDHC, xD and MMC, with Sony FP97 adds support for Compact Flash and Microdrive cards.
According to Sony, “A variety of creative prints that come with the DPP-FP97 model make customizing memories and creating on-the-spot, one-of-a-kind gifts a snap. This model comes with frame, scrapbooking and calendar templates so you can personalize your photos. Sony added a software keyboard to this model for quick type messages and personalized greeting cards.”
In addition, the Sony DPP-FP97 will incorporate auto touch-up feature engages technology that able to correct common photo problems, including white balance, focus, exposure as well as red eye.
The new Sony DPP-FP97 that prints 4 x 6-inch photos in about 45 seconds and DPP-FP67 that prints 4 x 6-inch photos in about 63 seconds are expected to be available by May for about $200 and $120, respectively.
