Panasonic is one of the Japanese consumer electronics manufacturers that keen on adopting DivX technology for its latest product series. Just recently, some of its full HD (High Definition) digital TV VIERA such as Z1, V10 and G15 series has been certified with DivX standard available for Europe market.

DivX Codec is famous for its high compression ability while still able to maintain impressive visual resolution. By having DivX technology certified, these Panasonic full HD digital TV will able to play high definition resolution DivX media files directly and are expected to have full interoperability with other DivX certified products in digital home. Further enhanced with NeoPDP technology, VIERA series are able to offer real full 1080p HD video experience with impressive picture quality.

Besides working as a conventional standalone TV set, users can also stream DivX media contents directly from DLNA server to view the contents directly in digital home. Those favorite contents can be either centralized/stored in host PC server or retrieved from SD Memory card plugged into SD/SDHC memory card slot built in the VIERA series. The VIERA CAST online content service will also be made available to the Europe market for the first time.
