PowerPad To Recycle Heat From Hot Shower

Hot showers are a necessary luxury but can use up quite a lot of energy. A lot of heat and water is actually wasted when the hot shower is running. Haier has come up with an energy-saving device to rechannel heat back into the hot water tank when the shower is flowing. PowerPad is a platform which can retain about 15% of the energy from the running shower. Meanwhile, experts are working on improving the technology; the amount of energy saved is touted to increase to 20-30% upon its official launch in China.

The user just need to stand on the platform and the heat exchanger will do its part. This new concept device by Haier targets most users where it matters most – their pockets. PowerPad makes comfort more accessible, reduces spending and contributes towards the conservation of the environment. But the practicality and aesthetic aspects of PowerPad may still need to be refined.
