Wanna feel the amazing cinema experience? Recently, Japan consumer electronics giant, Sony has released an ultra-HD digital cinema in Japan. The new Sony’s CineAlta 4K SRX-R220 digital projector, building on its SXRD (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) technology, is capable of reproducing images with full 4K: 4096 x 2160 pixels. In simply words, this projector can display 8.850.000 pixels of ultra high definition footage in movie theaters or “Super rich” people’s home theters.

The CineAlta 4K SRX-R220 model can fully cover a 20 meter screen (65.6 feet) with its 4.2W xenon lamp while the R110 goes up to 17 meters with a 3.0W and 14 meters with a 2.0W lamp. Recently, a prototype of Sony’s CineAlta was used at the preview of “Spider Man 3” on April 16, 2007 at TOHO Cinemas, Roppongi Hills. The Sony CineAlta 4K SRX-R220 is selling for about $126,000.
