Sony Voluntarily Recalls VAIO All-in-One PC’s AC Brick Charger Due to Potential Electrical Shock

We have been hearing recall actions related to battery packs such as the one from Acer on its Travelmate and Aspires but this round of time, Sony has taken initiative to announce the voluntary recall action targeted for its AC brick adapters used in its famous all-in-one VAIO desktops.

The reason of the recall is due to the potential short circuit and electrical shock hazard when using the AC power adapters model AC19V17 that being used in its the VAIO VGC-JS240/JS250/JS270/JS290 and VGC-LT series. Basically it covers All-in-one computers that being sold after September 2007 as well as Notebook docking stations sold since September 2005.
