Windows 7 Regional Themes and Wallpapers Free Download (Japan, German, Australia, Canada, South Africa, UK, US)

Windows 7 has included some specialized themes, wallpapers, RSS feeds and favorite links for Windows 7 users in some regions or countries. The themes and wallpapers are hidden by default in a Globalization\MCT folders. Out of these extra freebies, the themes and wallpapers are the most attractive to many. Not all themes and wallpapers are included in all versions or localized language editions of Windows 7 though.

For example, English version of Windows 7 ISO contains only themes and wallpapers for Australia, Canada, South Africa, Great Britain (UK or England), United States of America), while Japanese and German edition of Windows 7 has Japan and Germany theme and wallpapers respectively.

Marc has emailed a collection of all Windows 7 regional themes and wallpapers that available so far. For interested people, the regional themes and wallpapers for Windows 7 can be downloaded here.

Note: The regional themes and wallpapers for Australia, Canada and South Africa is the same.

Extract the content of the C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT folder, and then use the registry hack to enable regional themes and link regional wallpapers, or straight away apply and unhide the regional theme. See pictures below for a preview of the wallpapers for each regions.
