With IE9 just released fresh from the oven barely a month ago, the next version of Internet Explorer web browser is already in development. In fact, Microsoft has released IE10 Platform Preview 1. The first release of IE10 Platform Preview was announced on MIX11, and similar to IE9 Platform Preview, the IE10 Platform Preview is not a full browser, but it’s a working browser which lacks address bar, menu, back & forward buttons, favorites and etc.

According to IEBlog, IE10 intends to continue improve on the base of IE9 to deliver native HTML5 support, support emerging standards such as like CSS3 Multi-column Layout (link), CSS3 Grid Layout (link) and CSS3 Flexible Box Layout (link), CSS3 Gradients (link), and ES5 Strict Mode, enhance performance and improve GPU hardware acceleration.

IE10 Platform Preview

IE10 Platform Preview will be updated and refreshed every 8 to 12 weeks. No schedule been published on expected public availability of final IE10, but IE10 is widely believe to be available before or together with Windows 8, and will be part of Windows 8 natively.
