Apple has released a new version of iTunes, namely iTunes 9.1. iTunes 9.1 provides support for iPad on iPhone 3.2 to sync music, movie, books and other multimedia contents, in addition to include several security fixes, new features and improvements.

Features of iTunes 9.1 include:

  • Sync with iPad to enjoy your favorite music, movies, TV shows, books and more on the go
  • Organize and sync books you’ve downloaded from iBooks on iPad or added to your iTunes library
  • Rename, rearrange, or remove Genius Mixes

In iTunes 9.1, a new “Books” section will replace the existing “Audiobooks” section in the iTunes Store to contain audio and digital books. The security bugs that been fixed in the new version of iTunes is detailed in HT4105.

iPhone and iPod Touch on iPhone OS 3.1.2 users who jailbreak the device with Blackra1n should download the BlackBreeze, the Blackra1n fix for iTunes 9.1.

iTunes 9.1 is available for upgrade automatically for both Windows and Mac OS X from Apply Software Update, and can also downloaded from iTunes homepage or the direct download links below.
